Ladies, please avert your eyes... 'cause I've been known to hypnotize.

::yawn:: I vote for nap time. Although I really don’t think that my boss would go for that one. Lol
So it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve had the chance to sit down and write anything in here. Been a bit busy with the holidays and all.
Still don’t have my car back…. Should get it back in about a week… week and a half. The other guys insurance is paying for everything which rocks. I miss my car terribly though!!! Been seeing the Chiropractor since the accident, back and shoulder have been a little messed up. But they both appear to be getting all better, so hopefully that’s almost over with.
Christmas was pretty good. That weekend was insane. Friday night we went to a friends house for a party. It was awesome to get to see some friends that we haven’t seen in a couple of months. Sat we bummed around for awhile, then had dinner with my mom and brother. Niki drove up and hung out with us for a little while Saturday night. Then I went and saw a couple of friends. It was nice, haven’t seen any of them in a while. When I got home from that Travis and I exchanged our gifts to each other cause we knew the next few days would be crazy. He got me a blanket, a ring (no not that kind of ring!), a bottle of Just Desserts Mint Cookie Liquer (YUM) and a calander. I got him a holder to put his father’s flag in and made him a shadow box of a couple of his father’s things.
Sun we drove to my home town and saw my "dad" and his wife. And their 4 very cute dogs.
Then it was time to head to my grandparents house…. Oh joy. Almost everyone from that part of the family was there. It was nice to see everyone, but it was insane in that house all night!! But we lived through it and that’s what matters right?!?! Lol. There were 11 adults, 1 teenager, 3 kids and 3 dogs in the house for xmas eve. Craziness!!! But the food was good and the company was not to bad lol so all in all it was a good night.
Spent the night at my dad’s house that night so we would already be there in the morning to do xmas with him and mom. Got some cool stuff for my apt that I wanted, so that rocked. Trav got some cool stuff too. It was a nice day.
This week has been horribly long lol. Haven’t really done a whole lot except work, but it seems like the week has taken FOREVER to be over.
Not sure yet what the hell we’re doing for New Year’s. We haven’t really talked about it. I’m sure we’ll come up with something though.
I probably won’t be anywhere near a comp this weekend. So I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe new years!

That's because you know what I can do with my little finger...

So it's been sort of a trying week to say the least. Spent most of it in a fair amount of pain and soreness, but I'm doing a hell of a lot better now. Left shoulder/arm is still a bit sore and stiff, but nothing I can't live with. I freaking hate insurance companies! They are a pain in the ass. But I know it could be worse.

Let's see... Monday wasn't too bad a day. Went to my chiropractors to see what she could do for my pain. OMG i heart her! lol It was very helpful. Then went to mom's for date night. Good times. Got the most adorably singing and walking penguin from my dad that night. Been puppy/house sitting for my dad for the last couple of days. I heart puppy time!! They are so adorable!!!

Started a new blanket this week. So know I'm not gonna get it done on time, but I'm still working on it every chance I get.

You know, people amaze me. Reading the news on AOL when I check my email makes my life seem totally normal and sane. People do and say some stupid shit.

Ok, lunch is calling my name.

car accidents suck

wrote this yesterday, but didn't get a chance to post it...

::sigh:: so it’s been about a week since I’ve had a chance to write anything in here. Last week was kinda busy. Just doing a lot of random things.

I’m totally almost done with one of the blankets I’m making for someone for Christmas. YAY! Only two more to go, and I know they won’t be done in time for xmas, but better lat e then never right?!? Lol

This weekend was insane. Friday I spent doing family things. Sat xmas things with my mom, bro and travis. Had a little drama that evening, but whatever. Sunday… Sunday sucked in the morning. Travis and I were in a car accident on the way out to family dinner. I was coming down a road towards an intersection where I didn’t have a stop sign but the road crossing did. As I came over the hill there was a car at the stop sign on the left. Then, the car pulled out into the middle of the intersection and STOPPED!!!! There was no way I was going to not hit this car. I slammed on my brakes and turned my wheel as far as I could to the right so that I wouldn’t hit the passenger door and seriously injury the lady in the passenger seat. So our cars hit and mine kept going up into the grass on one of the corners… took out the stop sign. Turns out the reason they were stopped in the middle of the freaking road is because the lady couldn’t decide which way she wanted her hubby (who was driving) to go (they aren’t from around here and were a little lost.) No serious injuries, but both cars had to be towed. Mom came and picked us up. As the day went on I got more and more sore. Today… it’s hell. I can’t move anything with it hurting insane amounts, but I know it could be worse! So now I’m playing the waiting game… I’m waiting for the insurance adjuster to call me back so I can figure out what’s going on with my car. ::sigh::

Not how I wanted to start my Sunday. Other than that though It was a good day. We played a lot of scrabble with my parents and had a great dinner.

nap time sounds good

::sigh:: yeah that pretty much sums up my day right there.
Made the mistake of going home and taking a nap after work. Yeah, totally couldn't sleep most of the night because of it! suckage! But, I did get to watch some NCIS season one so that was nice.

Finished another book in the LA Banks series I'm reading. It's getting more interesting as I go along. Little miffed at the moment though, brought what I thought was the next one in the series with me, turns out it's not next, it's the one after the next one! damnit!

Well, nothing really of interest at the moment, just tired rambling.

Holiday cards and other things on my mind...

So I’ve decided that holiday cards may well be the devil. I truly don’t enjoy holiday cards. Not really sure I even see the point in them, yet every year I buy and them address them and send them on their way. (Ok, almost every year, sometimes I forget about the sending them part! Lol) not like anyone really does anything with them anyway. You get them; you open them, read them, and smile. Then maybe you leave them up around the house somehow for a little while. Then you take them down and either throw them in the trash or pack them away in some box not to be looked again for years. Ugh. Hallmark and their damn cards.
Can you tell I’m working on holiday cards at the moment?? Have most of them finished and put in the mail. Still waiting on addresses for some people so I can get theirs out too. I think next year I may boycott the whole holiday card thing. Although the ones I got this year are totally cute and entertaining! Gotta love shoebox! :o)

Oh my, I met the cutest puppy last night. Travis and I were walking up the front walk to the apt when I guy walked past in front of us with this totally adorable dog! Her name is Tia and she’s precious!! We sat there and talked to the guy who owns her for awhile. We talked about all kinds of dogs. He fosters rescue dogs until they can be adopted. Now that I’m in an apt complex that will let me have pets I’m thinking about doing something like that. I plan to get a dog of my own. But I think I might do the fostering thing too…. Dunno, will have to give it some thought. If not now, totally will happen when I get a house.

::sigh:: Christmas is coming up… and I have no idea what I’m getting for… oh anyone. Well, most people at least. I have my mom and dad covered… assuming I can get them done before xmas comes along. I know what I’m getting Travis… again assuming I can get what I need before xmas. And money is a little tight this year, so that doesn’t help at all. But I’ll figure it out and I’ll make it work. I always do.

Thinking about having some sort of (very small) get together around xmas time. Since no one has seen my new place yet and since I haven’t seen a lot of people since forever ago!!! I’ll have to figure all that out later though. Still need to get everything unpacked and put where it’s supposed to be! Lol. I HATE unpacking!!!
But I love having my new place!!! :o)
Alright, have rambled enough for now. Besides it’s about time to go home!

where to begin?

Where to begin? Hmm… well, I guess I’ll just jump head first into this thing and see how it goes. Life’s been a bit insane lately, but I guess that’s nothing really new. Been working a lot (Although it feels like I never really do anything). Moved recently, but will be damned if I can work up the motivation to unpack everything. ::sigh:: I plan on doing some unpacking tonight and rearranging of some things.
Thanksgiving was great. Travis (the boyfriend) and I spent it with my family. Went and had dinner with my parents. My mom cooked and it was awesome. Then my little brother came up and we all played games and hung out. Friday we went back and hung out with my mom and little bro. It was great fun. Lots of scrabble played! Lol. Sat wasn’t too bad. Spent most of the day just relaxing. Sun was family dinner. So we went back to my parent’s house and ate and played the “Here and now” version of monopoly with my dad. He kicked both our asses!!! Lol

Monday came back to work, although… again, not feeling like I’ve done a whole lot. ::sigh:: but that’s a whole different subject that I really don’t want to get into!

Read an awesome book this weekend.

She's my godmother and a damn good writer if I do say so myself! :o) Her other book is pretty awesome too... http://www.jerismithready.com/books/requiem-for-the-devil/
Ok, done with the promoting for the moment! lol

Am at the moment working on a new series (cause I can't read enough these days apparently) It's by L.A. Banks. It's about a vampire huntress. It's interesting. Not as good as the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, but good nonetheless. I recommend it if you like that kinda of book.

Got Travis to start reading the Anita series, he's only on the first book, but I think he likes it anyway.

Ok, I've rambled enough for the moment.
